Sand Beach is pretty much a hub for a bunch for hikers to prepare/wind down before or after going on a long hike. Most trails we were able to get to from this road that lead to sand beach.

My Car including Ryan Chadd and Myself got there nice and early to beat the traffic but still ended up hitting some as we entered the park. We were looking for some spots to climb some rocks I had mapped out a few spots prior to the trip but due to the lack of service out there I wasn't able to pull up any of the bouldering routes luckily i had a photo in my camera roll of one location and the Hunt began. We wandered these rocks for a 10 mins before we said lets go back to the car and drive closer to the location given we were a few miles away from the location and were walking on these jagged rocks where led to some really cool photos.

We recently found enjoyment in climbing rocks. It doesn't sound like much but it put you in such a state that you cant describe or at least I cant I my level yet. This was maybe our third out door climb it was challenging but really fun to be outdoors climbing in such a beautiful landscape. At this point I didn't even care to climb anymore I just wanted to start exploring everything in the area. We stopped climbing and eventually made our way back to the car. Shot but ready for the rest of the day we packed up our climbing gear and started driving to the next location Beehive trail. Turns out the road we were on was a one way so we had to the road 30 mins detour in a loop to get back to Sand Beach where the Trail starts. Due to it being later in the day when we got back to the beach there was no parking and we ended up parking closer to where we parked when we went climbing then we were to the beach we walk over a mile to get to the beach to prepare for our hike.

Beehive Loop Trail

A quick walk north along the road from Sands Beach you can find this trail being one of the first trails you see. You enter this normal looking forested hiking path until you come upon a massive mountain in your way and the only way is up. There is a small footpath that quickly turns to rock as you take giant steps up this mountain. About a quarter of the way up you could find yourself grabbing on to some safety rails and walking across some wooden and metal bridges (metals ones are very slippery). This extraordinary view of Sand Beach begins to appear as you start to get higher and higher over the tree line. As I am afraid of heights this

was a very stressful but mind opening hike for me telling myself i can do it the whole time going up the mountain and proving to myself that I can face my fears but it might just take a little extra push to get me to the limit of my fears to reach my goals
